Author initials not scanning properly

I have started playing around with Alfaebook Pro, by scanning in various folders of ebooks I have and have discovered a significant problem. Any author whose first name is initials is truncated to just the first letter. The scan screen shows the name properly even when parsed from the file metadata but once added, the author is just the first initial last name. Sure this can be edited, but doing this dozens of times in time consuming and shouldn't be necessary. The problem seems to be if there is a period in the file name. the file "The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkein.Epub" shows correctly in the scan screen but once saved, the author becomes "J Tolkein" Is there a fix for this behavior?

hi,
just downloaded the latest version and this issue is still there. Any author name with an initial is truncated when added to the database. The name shows up properly when scanning files but everything after a period is deleted when added to the database. V.C. Andrews becomes V Andrews, J.R.R. Tolkien becomes J Tolkien, etc.
