editing tags should be so much easier, and more

I'm liking Alfa so far, but there are a few things that are just slowing me down, things that other ebook managers make so much easier.

Edit from the list view should be possible:

I should be able to edit fields from the list view, without going into the "edit book" screen. Especially authors and tags.

Tagging should be easier:

I rely on tags extensively, and it could just be so much easier.

Separating out "add existing tag" and "add new tag" is weird. I just want to add a tag to this book.

For example, if I go to create a tag, but it already exists, it should just let me use the existing tag. Instead it greys out the "add" button, and forces me to close that modal, click the "add existing tag" button, click on the search field, type my search query, double click the tag I want, and then close that modal. That's a lot of extra steps.

(Also, when I go into any screen with a search box, that box should already be selected.)

Same for authors. Just make it easier. I don't care if the author exists or not, just use what I typed.

Editing multiple books should be easier:

When editing multiple books, I can't create a new tag at that screen. I have to edit a single book, create the tag, then go back, select multiple books and then add the tag.

When editing multiple books, there's no "apply" button, just an "okay". There's no indication that the action was applied except for a brief screen flash. Not even a "success" message.

Why is there a check box in the tabs to indicate which things I want to update? It's obvious which things I want to update, they'll have new data. You can go ahead and check that box for me.
