I can't use my Alfa ebooks Manager Pro

I'm not sure if an update was made but the alfareader internal application can't load a book in my library. I also entered my email in the prompt to check for an update, but it has no record of my email. I purchased this program in February of this year, so I'm fairly new. I don't know what happened, but I've made a comment in the support prompt and emailed support. No response. This is unusual and unfortunate because I love this program. Please advise.

AChiemela, please try to delete the config file:
C/users/USER/appdata/local/alfa.netsoft

and clear the cache in Books -> Scan (button in the left-bottom corner)

Please try to enter your email one more time here: http://alfaebooks.com/update (we just reloaded it)

Thank you. It worked. I just purchased the new update by following the link you sent to my email. It's asking for the license key. How do I get that? When I purchased the earlier version in February, the email said that the license key is already included in the setup package. How come it doesn't say that in the email I received today when I purchased Alfa eBooks Manager 7 today?

AChiemela, just uninstall Alfa and then install the new version again. Your license key is built-in the setup file

We'll also send you license key by email

I uninstalled and reinstalled the Alfa eBooks Manager Web but it still asks for the license key.

I received the license key via email. I entered it and it said that the program is activated. However I see no difference, it doesn't say that its licensed to me when I click the About button like in the earlier version, and even when I restart the program it still asks for the license key.

AChiemela,
Please check that in file
c:\Users\%User Name%\AppData\Roaming\Alfa.NetSoft\Alfa Ebooks Manager\aem.license
there is the License Key that we sent to you
(you can open this file in Notepad)

Yes the file does contain the license key that you sent to me.

I have a similar problem. I have no license key and cannot catalog more than 90 books. Seems that I am in "free" or "demo" mode. So since the update the software has been useless and wasting a lot of my time trying to figure out what I did wrong.

Hi, even the free version of Alfa has no limitation in number of books. What happens when you add more than 90 books?

Regarding the path - please replace %User Name% with your real user name

In my Windows 10 there is no such path
c:\Users\%User Name%\AppData\Roaming\Alfa.NetSoft\Alfa Ebooks Manager\aem.license

[1] I do not have an "Appdata" folder under default user name. The one place there is an Appdata folder there is no Roaming folder.
[2] Scanning finds 3074 books, but when I save I end up with 91 books. The rest are not visible.

1. You need to display hidden folders in Windows. In any folder select Folder Options, then select the View tab.
Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then select OK.

2. Please send us (to support@alfaebooks.com) a sample book file that is not saved to database
