Web browser and Mac support
Hi!
I am searching for an ebook solution, which would allow me to have all my eBooks on my Windows Server 2008. I would then like to search, reorder and read the eBooks in a wbbrowser-interface on a different computer (in my case an Apple MacBookPro). Will this in the future perhaps be possibel?

Matthias,
Currently Alfa Ebooks Manager provides only Windows version and works on top of Microsoft .Net Framework. So you can use it only on Windows machines. You can store single database on your server, and connect to it over your Local Area Network
Any way to get this functionality added? I am looking for the exact same as the OP. Need a solution that I can run and host on my server and allow me access from anywhere via the internet.
Hi Mick,
Meanwhile Alfa Ebooks Manager doesn't provide internet access to the ebook database. We are currently working on the web service, that will enable this functionality
Any update on internet access to the database? This is the only thing preventing this software from being perfect, in my opinion. Thanks!
Hi Mick, thanks for the kind words
Please, give us some more details how you would like to use the software via the internet
Are you planning to store ebook files on the web server, or you want to sync them with your desktop, or you just need something like Google Books?
I would like to view my library of books online and be able to read and/or download the books via my browser from anywhere. So yes, something like google books except running on my own webserver.
I concur with Mick. This software is excellent but the ability to deploy it and access the book listings/book objects(pdfs/epub/covers, etc) remotely via web browser(possibly with stanza support) would make this software downright perfect(minus the windows only restriction). I have a large collection of RPG books in both print and PDF copies I try to keep in sync and being able to read them on the subway or look to see if I have a book off my iphone while out at a store would make this about the perfect product.
Hi huhlig,
What would you say about the Facebook app, where you can upload you book collection from Alfa Ebooks Manager?
